Base Porter With Crystal 60L and Chocolate Rye Malt
If you like coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts this porter might be for you. This is a base porter using crystal 60L and Chocolate Rye malt. This all grain homebrew is a test to see what chocolate malt brings to the aroma and taste of a porter. I want my porter to have layers in it so I think it does need more. Here is the all grain recipe I used to make this base porter:
2 LBS 4 oz Pale Malt
3.2 oz Crystal 60L
3.2 oz Chocolate Rye
Hops 1 hr boil
.35 Fuggles 60 mins 4.3% AA
.15 Fuggles Flame out 4.3% AA
US-05 Yeast
