Citra Amarillo Azacca

I picked up the Anvil Foundry and wanted to test it out so I took 11 LBS of 2-Row and 1 LB of Venia malt and added Citra and Amarillo hops in the boil. Once it was cold down I split it into 5 1 gallon batches and dry hopped with 5 different hops. This one is using Azacca hops

Recipe

11 LBS 2-Row

1 LB Venia malt

1 oz Citra 15 mins

1 oz Amarillo 10 mins

1 oz Citra 5 mins

US-05 Yeast

.25 oz Azacca 3 days into fermentation

Color: Bright yellow. Some hazy

Smell: Citrus, passion fruit hint of toasted bread

Taste: Smooth, Fruit but goes away fast, fruit citrus mix

Overall: A good homebrew. Not sure how you could go wrong using the hops I did. The taste does go away fast.

Final Tasting

Color: Clear Bright Yellow

Smell: Hint of fruit. Sweet Malt with citrus on the back

Taste: Fruit Citrus some some pine. More pine that I was thinking it would have. Smooth with a hint of malt. I think the malt is from the Venia Malt

Overall: Good beer. This could have some peach in it like the Azacca smash. I did not get that peach out of tasting 1. The bitterness in this beer is high and Im not sure why. I would make a 5 gallon batch of this.
