Batch 2 BRY-97 Yeast
Tropical Session White IPA is an all grain recipe that I found on Home brewers association web site. I wanted to split this batch and use some different yeasts. This Tropical Session White IPA was brewed on the Anvil Foundry. Here is the recipe for this all grain batch.
5 LBS 8 oz 2-Row
4 LBs White Wheat
90 min boil
1 oz Warrior 60 mins
.5 oz Amarillo, Centennial, and Citra Whirlpool 170 for 20 mins
1 oz Galaxy Whirlpool 170 for 20 mins
Split into 5 1 gallon fermenters
This batch is using BRY-97 yeast
Tasting 1
Color: Hazy Light yellow
Smell: Passion Fruit. A hint of wheat with some fruit
Taste: Smooth passion fruit. There is a taste that I cant pick out. From the first taste it was like a dill taste but I didnt get that after the first 2 tastes.
Overall: I think the carb lvl needs to be higher. I want the passion fruit from this one in batch one. I think the BRY-97 yeast did thin out the body.
