Centennial Cascade WP
This is beer 13 in our 2 hop series. This takes the base Centennial Cascade a whirlpool addition. A whirlpool addition can add smells and flavor to the home brew with out adding all the IBUs. Here is the recipe I used. This was for a 1.25 gallons going into the carboy.
2 LBS 4 oz 2-Row
.25 oz Centennial 60 min
.25 oz Cascade 10 min
.25 oz Centennial 5 min
.25 oz of each @170 F for 15 mins.
.25 oz of both 3 days into fermentation
US-05 Yeast
Color: Bright yellow and clear
Smell: More floral than citrus. Some lemon.
Taste: Citrus floral with some sweetness. Some bitterness in the back
Overall: I was thinking the citrus would be more in this beer as the centennial is used more. I think this is a more balanced beer that beer 12.
